NovaMundi is an open-world exploration game set in the Andes during the 16th century, where you take on the role of a leader guiding a group of warriors through perilous terrain. As you navigate this dangerous landscape, you must build your reputation to recruit allies in various towns and trade for essential supplies to support your people in their fight against a formidable invader. In the Muisca territory, the local population is fractured and constantly under threat from neighboring groups like the Panche and Muzo. Amidst this turmoil, a struggling band of Spanish explorers has arrived, aiming to exploit the divisions among the Muisca to forge alliances and gain control over the region. Your mission is to unite the Muisca people and prepare them for the impending invasion.

The game features procedural generation, ensuring that each playthrough presents a unique map filled with mountains and rivers that challenge your party’s mobility, regardless of your previous explorations. If your group faces defeat, you must start anew and explore once more. Along your journey, you will encounter the indigenous people, engage in their conflicts, explore caves and sacred sites, and contend with the chaos brought by the Spanish invaders. All the while, you must battle against hunger, disease, wild animals, and hostile humans.
